Qarnaim

My name is Qarnaim and I’m a Carthaginian soldier. My father was an artisan, who made jewelry and sold it all around the Phoenician world, from the cities of the Levant like Tyre and Sidon, to the colonies on the Iberian Peninsula like Gadir and our own colony Carthāgō Nova. He wanted me to learn to make jewelry as well, but I wanted to be a soldier to help fight against the evil Romans. I travelled to Iberia to join General Hannibal Barca’s army.
In Iberia we attacked the Greek city of Saguntum. The Romans promised to protect them but we conquered the city and marched to Italy. To go around the Roman armies Hannibal made us march through the mountains. It was very difficult, and lots of the elephants in our army died, but now we are fighting the Romans in Italy, and of course we are going to win.
